Well-preserved Leclaire & Schäfer table lamp with adjustable shade, a timeless classic from the 1950s, model no. 5900/1. This model is often referred to as the "Cobra." The elegant lamp is made entirely of metal, with a brass base and neck, and a shade coated with shrink varnish on the outside and painted white on the inside.
The desk lamp's large, curved shade provides bright, pleasantly glare-free light and is very solidly constructed. The round, conical base houses the push-button switch. The shade stays in any position.
The lamp is in good condition, with the following signs of wear: some small dents on the brass base, paint damage on the inside of the shade, and paint damage on the outside - see picture 7. The gooseneck stays in any position.
The power plug can be replaced with a US plug upon request.
