Seltenes Sammlerobjekt: Gut erhaltenes Thonet Sofa mit Sitzfläche aus Wiener Geflecht. Bezeichnung im Thonet Katalog von 1904: Kanapee Nr 4.
Die Besonderheit dieses Möbles ist die kunstvoll gestaltete Rückenlehne aus gebogenem Bugholz. Das Geflecht ist bestens intakt und die Schellack Oberflächen wurde aufgefrischt. Das Buchenholz ist auf Nussbaum gebeizt. Der Firmenzettel - siehe letztes Bild - ist leider nur noch fragmenthaft vorhanden und daher von mir nicht mehr zuordbar. Das Sofa könnte daher durchaus auch von der Firma J. & J. Kohn sein, die die Thonet Modelle nachgebaut hat.
