Historical collector's item: Large bentwood stool from the end of the 19th century with profiled legs and bentwood ring, very rare. The piano stool made of solid wood has a seat made of Viennese mesh. The hand-woven braid is perfectly intact, but has diminished some of its tension over the course of its service life. The stool is very stable and can be adjusted in height with the help of a steel spindle. The spindle is oiled and runs like new. The stool is in good overall condition: the stool has been completely sanded and covered with shellac polish, the knocked out spindle has been replaced by an equally historic but intact spindle made of a Thonet stool. All fittings and glues were checked and, if necessary, glued. Improved. I didn't find a manufacturer label, but very high quality, like Thonet or Kohn.
