Peill + Putzler pendant lamp MAGIG EYE, 70s, vintage
Rare design classics from Peill&Putzler: The pendant lamp Magic eye: This ball lamp is the small version with a shade diameter of approx. 28 cm.
The luminaire is made of clear glass and coated with a mirrored surface in the lower side area. At the very bottom is the curved glass surface - the "pupil," the so-called Magic Eye.
The suspension is the typical Peill & Putzler suspension as it is also used in the Wave model: Solid metal parts with chrome coating. The cable contains an integrated steel cable for security, which is guided in the cable and is fixed to the luminaire and the ceiling hook. All in all, a very solid work with - in the truest sense of the word - extraordinary charisma.
The mirrored coating is partially frayed at the top - see picture no. 6 and the plastic canopy has a small crack on the floor, otherwise the luminaire is in very good condition.
