XXL Discus ceiling wall lamps in brushed aluminum - Space Age rarity from the 1960s, 1970s - vintage
Very large original discus lamp from the 1960s to 1970s, company unknown (note is partially missing), type 7719. The lamp is made of brushed aluminium. It can be attached to the ceiling as well as to the wall. The luminaire is in excellent condition and the aluminium surfaces are almost without scratches. The elegantly shaped aluminium shade first falls slightly inwards before it rises again towards the frame and ends with a slight kink at the top of the frame. Wall suspension on the socket probably no longer quite original, but renewed with good function - see picture no. 9.
A mirror head lamp creates a beautiful, indirect light with a beautiful corona around the lamp. These discus lights have become a classic in modern design history and are quite rare in this size. An absolute eye-catcher and a must for a 70s retro décor.
